BIOTIN COMPLEX

BIOTIN COMPLEX is a supplement containing Biotin, a B group vitamin with a wide range of benefits: it plays a role in the metabolism of macronutrients, supports normal psychological function, and is essential for healthy hair and skin. Biotin is found in numerous foods (e.g. egg yolk, liver and yeast), but generally in smaller quantities than other water-soluble vitamins.

Although biotin deficiency is quite rare, the need for biotin supplementation has been demonstrated in two different situations: prolonged intravenous feeding without biotin supplementation, or the consumption of raw egg whites over extended periods (weeks or years). Egg white, in fact, contains avidin, a protein that binds to biotin, preventing its absorption. In addition to these conditions, supplementation is also commonly recommended during seasonal changes, as it helps maintain healthy hair, skin and nails.

Alongside biotin, we find Zinc and Selenium, two minerals involved in numerous enzymatic reactions, known primarily for their antioxidant action, their support for the immune system and the body in general, and for their beneficial effects on skin, nails and hair.
