Skin care is not just a beauty routine, but a real act of well-being. Taking a few minutes every day to care for your skin helps keep it radiant and healthy.
Sometimes, however, at certain times of the year, simply applying a serum and face cream is not enough. One of the most important steps that is often overlooked is the face mask, when your skin needs extra treatment at least once a week.
Masks work deep down, purifying, moisturising or revitalising the skin according to its needs. Incorporating them into your weekly routine means giving your daily skin care an extra boost and helping your skin regain its freshness and balance.
TYPES OF FACE MASKS: CHOOSE THE RIGHT ONE FOR YOUR SKIN
For normal/dry skin: choose a face mask with hyaluronic acid, which moisturises the skin, making it smoother and firmer, for a fresher and more relaxed face.
For combination/oily skin: a purifying mask is ideal, designed to rebalance the skin on the face, reducing redness and irritation. Purifying and detox masks also help to eliminate excess sebum and impurities, often accumulated due to smog and stress. They leave the skin clean, smooth and free to breathe.
For mature skin: choose a brightening mask with clay, which helps stimulate cell renewal and lighten age spots. Thanks to ingredients such as Vitamin C, a brightening mask restores radiance and vitality to the complexion and protects the skin from free radicals, making it more radiant and smoother.
HOW AND WHEN TO APPLY THE FACE MASK
For maximum benefit, apply the face mask once a week to clean, dry skin after cleansing and before moisturising. This is the ideal time to pamper yourself: you can do it in the evening or whenever you have a few minutes to relax.
Apply an even layer of the product, avoiding the eye and lip area, leave on for the recommended time and then rinse with lukewarm water or allow the excess product to absorb (if the mask allows it).
Always finish with a face serum and moisturiser to seal in the effects of the mask and keep your skin soft and radiant.
Taking care of yourself consistently is the secret to glowing skin… and a moment of well-being that is also good for your mood!
