How to fight skin ageing

The skin is the first barrier between us and external factors and therefore plays a fundamental role in protecting the body.

Both the passage of time, lifestyles and environmental factors influence the skin's ageing process.

Internal factors

Over the years, the skin loses firmness and tone and shows signs of sagging such as wrinkles and small expression lines. From within, the body reduces the synthesis of collagen and elastin and the processes of skin repair and regeneration take place more and more slowly.

External factors

In addition to internal factors, skin ageing also depends on external factors, which further accelerate the ageing process.

The main external cause is UVA and UVB radiation. Despite sun protection, the skin absorbs the sun's rays and triggers the process of skin ageing and oxidation and degeneration of the structural elements of the dermis. Stressful lifestyles and consumption of alcohol and smoking also influence skin ageing.

To counteract skin ageing, it is essential to adopt a healthy lifestyle and a few small precautions.

It is important to care for the skin, both from the outside, using antioxidant creams and moisturisers, and from the inside, taking food supplements with antioxidant action.

Three substances that help combat skin ageing

Hydrolysed Marine Collagen

Several studies have highlighted the benefits of supplementing with collagen: collagen is in fact the primary structural element of skin, bones and cartilage. In particular, supplementing with Hydrolysed Marine Collagen from fish, which is more digestible and easily assimilated, makes the skin more elastic and helps reduce the signs of ageing. In addition, it also acts on joints, promoting greater strength and mobility.

Hyaluronic Acid

Hyaluronic Acid maintains the skin's moisture level and elasticity. It aids skin regeneration.

Resveratrol

Resveratrol has an antioxidant and anti-ageing action. It helps counteract the effects of free radicals.
