The Spirulina Maxima is a blue-green microalgae of the family of the Cyanophyceae, which lives thanks to the photosynthesis like plants, is 0,3 mm long and takes its name from its spiral shape.
Its uniqueness is demonstrated by multiple studies that have shown that Spirulina has nutritional qualities that far exceed other foods. Spirulina is considered the most complete natural food that can be found on our planet.
Spirulina Maxima has a high concentration of protein (about 65% of its weight). It contains essential amino acids including leucine, valine and isoleucine. It contains several vitamins: these include provitamin A, E and the entire B group.
It contains 5% of essential fatty acids (Vitamin F), i.e. elements, such as linoleic acid (omega-6), which cannot be synthesized by the human body and are necessary for a whole series of functions such as growth, energy production, haemoglobin synthesis; moreover they allow a better tolerance to carbohydrates by diabetics and a reduction of total and bad cholesterol in particular.
Among the minerals, the main contents of Spirulina Maxima are Calcium, Iron, Magnesium, Phosphorus, Potassium and Sodium.
