They collect and process information 24 hours a day.<\/p>\n<p>That is why it is necessary to protect and care for them in order to avoid disorders caused by overwork, unfavourable external conditions such as dry air, dust, excessive light, physical stress and an irregular lifestyle. It should also be noted that eye disorders can increase with age.<\/p>\n<h2>The most common complaints are dry, swollen, reddened or excessively watery eyes.<\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Nutrition for healthy eyes<\/h2>\n<p>Let&#8217;s start with nutrition.<\/p>\n<p>Some foods are real allies for the eyes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Cabbage, chard and spinach, eggs and maize provide lutein and zeaxanthin, carotenoids with antioxidant properties present in the retina. They help protect the eyes from the blue light emitted by electronic devices.<\/li>\n<li>Apricots, oranges, persimmons, carrots, tomatoes, watermelon, red fruits and all orange-yellow or red vegetables are sources of vitamin A, which helps to keep the photoreceptors in the eyes healthy. Vitamin A is also found in green vegetables, eggs and liver.<\/li>\n<li>Fruits and vegetables rich in vitamin C: oranges, lemons, kiwis, papaya, tomatoes, broccoli, peppers.\u00a0 Vitamin C can have a protective effect on eye disorders, particularly in the case of cataracts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>When can an eye supplement be useful?<\/p>\n<p>In all those situations in which the eyes experience fatigue, a burning sensation and dryness with poor tearing, with a slight decrease in visual capacity, it may be useful to use a food supplement.
